Stop Studying Early
The night before the exam is not the time for intensive study. By now, you either know the material or you do not, and cramming at this point is more likely to increase anxiety than improve your score. If you feel the need to review, do a light pass through your flashcards or a brief review of your weakest topics, then put the materials away.
Prepare Your Logistics
Handle all the practical details tonight so you do not have to think about them tomorrow morning:
- Lay out your identification and confirmation documents
- Confirm the testing center address and your planned route
- Set at least two alarms
- Choose comfortable clothing and lay it out
- Check the weather and traffic forecast for the morning
Eat a Good Dinner
Have a proper meal tonight. Avoid heavy or unfamiliar foods that might cause discomfort. Stay hydrated but do not overdo caffeine, which can interfere with sleep. Your brain functions best when properly fueled and rested.
Relax and Wind Down
Do something you enjoy that is not pharmacy-related. Watch a show, take a walk, talk with a friend, or read something for fun. The goal is to lower your stress level and transition into a restful state of mind.
Get to Bed at a Reasonable Hour
Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep. Sleep is when your brain consolidates the information you have been studying for weeks. Sacrificing sleep for last-minute cramming is one of the worst trades you can make. Trust your preparation and rest.
